What is QTraffic?
Originally written by Patrick
Schemitz, Qtraffic is a simple tool to graphically view your ethernet traffic under Linux.
How does it work?
Qtraffic uses tcpdump to gather information about network connections. It parses the output of tcpdump, picks the hosts and connections, counts connection frequencies and shows them as lines.
QTraffic version 1.0 is here!!
The new maintainers, Mariano Dupont and Walter Jerusalinsky released a new version with de following changes:
- Bug Fixes: now nodes and hosts are properly destroyed after a timeout.-
- QTraffic is now a QT widget that can be hosted in any QT App, including QT Embedded.- We'll provide a host application too.-
- Hosts belonging to local network and outside networks are diplayed in different areas and have different timeouts
- Now, not only packets are counted, bytes in packets too, so more realistic bandwidth accounting is performed.-
- and more...
